Evolution Sliding System for Overlapping Doors
An adjustable sliding system for two and three overlapping wardrobe doors, up to 80 kg per door, with safety carriages and optional soft closing. From System Holz, Italy.
An adjustable sliding system for overlapping doors
Evolution is a sliding system for wardrobes whose doors overlap and pass in front of each other. Each door hangs from carriages on an upper rail and is guided at the base by a lower rail, so slab panels can slide without a framed door. It carries up to 80 kg per door and is built for two-door and three-door wardrobes.
- Up to 80 kg per door, for tall and heavy panels.
- Safety built into the carriages: automatic lower locking and an upper anti-derailment device.
- Reversible carriages, so the same carriage serves left and right doors.
- Adjustable on site: door height and the perpendicularity of the external door.
- Standard stoppers or soft closing, with return systems on the soft-close versions.

Safe, adjustable and soft-closing
Automatic lower locking
The lower carriage hooks onto its rail automatically. A safety device prevents the door from being released by accident. Patented, per the manufacturer.
Upper anti-derailment
The upper carriage carries an anti-derailment device so the door stays on the rail in everyday use.
Reversible carriages
The carriages can be fitted either way round, which simplifies stock and fitting. Patented, per the manufacturer.
Perpendicularity adjustment
The external door can be adjusted axially so that it hangs square to the wardrobe. Patented, per the manufacturer.
Soft-close or stopper
Standard stoppers, or soft-closing and return dampers on the upper and lower rails, in several rail versions.
Tool-free quick fix
Upper rails 011070 and 011076 and the snap-on lower rail 010805 allow assembly without tools, with screw fixing still possible.

Choose the Evolution version
Evolution comes in several rail versions. Pick the version by the braking you want, the door thickness and how the rails will be fixed.
| Version | Upper rail | Lower rail | Braking | Door thickness |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard stoppers | Confirm | 011035 screw-on | Standard stoppers, kit 000K228 | 22, 28, 33, 38, 50 mm |
| Soft-closing, dampers on the wardrobe top | 011034 | 011035 | Upper damper 000K339 for the external door | 22, 28, 33, 38, 50 mm |

Versions marked NEW in the catalogue are the quick-fix rails and the central damper. Rail and damper combinations are confirmed by Mirano against your wardrobe size before you order.
Kits by door thickness
Door kits depend on the thickness of the panel. The external door kit changes with the thickness; the internal door kit is the same for all thicknesses.
| Kit | Code | For panels up to |
|---|---|---|
| External door kit | 000K233 | 22 mm |
| External door kit | 000K234 | 28 mm |
| External door kit | 000K242 | 33 mm |
| External door kit | 000K235 | 38 mm |
| External door kit | 000K278 | 50 mm |
| Internal door kit, with stopper and handle spacer | 000K231 | All thicknesses |
| Stoppers kit for one door | 000K228 | All thicknesses |
Quick-fix versions use external door kits for 22, 28, 33 and 38 mm. Their codes carry a thickness suffix in the catalogue, so quote the rail version when you enquire.

Dampers, stoppers and fixing kits
Evolution doors stop on standard stoppers or close softly on dampers. Upper dampers sit in the rail, on the wardrobe top or on the upper roller, depending on the version.

| Upper damper for the central door | 000T327 | Three-door version, with supports 000S041 |
| Lower damper | 000T216 | Lower soft closing |
| Stopper for damper | 000T218 / 01CT324 | Stopper that pairs with the damper |
The manufacturer lists a wrench kit, code 000K230, for Evolution.
Fixing the rails
| Part | Code | How many |
|---|---|---|
| Upper rail fixing kit | 000K356 | One kit per linear metre |
| Bracket for tool-free lower rail | 000V343 | Two pieces per linear metre |
For the quick-fix versions with upper rails 011070 and 011076.
Adjustment and safety devices
Evolution doors are adjusted on site with a screwdriver. The carriages move the door vertically, and the axial adjustment brings the external door square to the cabinet. The upper anti-derailment device and the automatic lower safety device lock the door in position once adjusted.
- Vertical adjustment of the carriages, shown at the upper rail
- Axial adjustment of the external door for perpendicularity
- Upper anti-derailment device, in disabled and active positions
- Automatic lower safety device against accidental door release

Three-door wardrobes
For wardrobes with three overlapping doors, Evolution adds a central damper for the middle door and a bidirectional opening, so the central door can slide either way. The external door in this version must be at least 750 mm wide.
- Rail 011070 with tool-free fixing
- Central door damper 000T327 with supports 000S041
- External door minimum width 750 mm
- Same door kits and adjustment as the two-door version

Evolution: frequently asked questions
What is the Evolution sliding system?
Evolution is an adjustable sliding system for overlapping wardrobe doors, from System Holz (Gruppo Pozzi, Italy). The doors slide in front of each other on an upper and a lower rail, for wardrobes with two or three doors. It carries up to 80 kg per door and is available with standard stoppers or with soft-closing and return systems.
How much weight can each Evolution door carry?
The manufacturer states a load capacity of up to 80 kg per door.
What door thicknesses does Evolution take?
External door kits are listed for panels up to 22, 28, 33, 38 and 50 mm. The tool-free quick-fix versions with upper rails 011070 and 011076 are listed for 22, 28, 33 and 38 mm.
Can Evolution doors close softly?
Yes. Evolution is available with soft-closing and return systems as well as with standard stoppers. Upper dampers have 50 mm or 70 mm strokes, with closing force adjustable on selected models, and a lower damper is also available. The three-door version can add a central soft-close damper with bidirectional opening.
What is special about the Evolution carriages?
The manufacturer describes the lower carriage as having an automatic locking device with a safety system that prevents accidental door release, the upper carriage as having an anti-derailment device, the carriages as reversible, and the external door as adjustable for perpendicularity. It describes the locking, reversible-carriage and perpendicularity features as patented.
How are Evolution doors adjusted after hanging?
The carriages allow vertical adjustment of the doors, and the external door has an axial adjustment that sets its perpendicularity. Both are done with a screwdriver, and a wrench kit, code 000K230, is available for Evolution.
Can I use Evolution on a three-door wardrobe?
Yes. Evolution is documented for two-door and three-door wardrobes. The three-door version with a central soft-close damper and bidirectional opening needs an external door at least 750 mm wide.
Which Evolution rail versions are there?
The catalogue lists the standard version with stoppers, soft-closing versions with upper rails 011034 and 010600, and tool-free quick-fix versions with upper rails 011070 and 011076, which can pair with the snap-on lower rail 010805 or the screw-on lower rail 011035.
Evolution or Bridge: which should I choose?
Choose Evolution for overlapping slab doors up to 80 kg where panels hang from carriages without a door frame. Choose Bridge 500 & 600 for framed glass or wood doors up to 60 kg. See the sliding wardrobe systems page to compare them.
Are all Evolution versions available now?
The catalogue we hold is the 2016 edition, and several versions are marked NEW in it. Mirano confirms the current availability of each rail version, damper and kit when you enquire, before you finalise a design.
